Louisville, Colorado-based Global Imaging, a value-added reseller and integrator of wide- and grand-format printing systems, took the opportunity at its recent Workflow Studio VIP event to showcase its new software partner, Tucanna.

Carlsbad, California-based Tucanna is a supplier of digital and large-format workflow automation and systems for the print industry.

“Tucanna was brought to our attention by our customers who have been incorporating it into their systems,”says Tara Lamb, president of Global Imaging.“Their product, tFLOW, is an advanced digital and large format automation workflow that simplifies difficult file management tasks and optimizes efficiency and production throughput. It easily integrates with most computer programs currently in use which makes it a great choice for our customers.”

Global Imaging featured tFLOW at its event, held in July. It was attended by more than 60 printing and textile business owners and manufacturers' reps from 14 states.

Rather than have one big presentation followed by various equipment demos, as was done in past years, the attendees were divided into smaller groups and taken through the studio by a group leader who gave a presentation followed by an equipment demo.

“Not only was this our biggest event yet, but we changed the format to showcase the equipment in a more efficient and effective way,”says Lamb.“(The new format) allowed our vendors to showcase the equipment more fully and the attendees to get exposure to every piece of equipment or software that we have in the studio, resulting in a more complete presentation of the entire workflow.”
