Beer Store began to use interactive kiosks

2016-05-26

The Beer Store, an Ontario retailer owned by brewers, has selected Cineplex Digital Media (CDM) to replace static displays of its offerings with Pricing Information Centre (PIC) free-standing interactive kiosks, to streamline operations and reduce in-store clutter.

Customers can use the PICs' touch screens to confirm product availability and inventory levels at their local store. Previously, brands and prices were showcased on a ‘beer wall'. The new digital fixtures have been deployed in more than 145 locations across the province so far and the rollout is scheduled to reach nearly 370 stores by mid-June.

CDM, a division of Cineplex Entertainment headquartered in London, Ont., has supported The Beer Store in the past with digital signage in more than 150 locations.

“We are honoured to have been selected to help transition The Beer Store's brand onto a digital platform,” says Nick Prigioniero, president of CDM. “We're confident we have the tools to enhance the consumer experience and encourage repeat visits.”
