Melville, New York-based Canon Solutions America, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the sales arm of Canon U.S.A., announces that it recently participated in the Fifth Annual Graphic Arts Industry Event, held at the Ronald McDonald House New York.
The Ronald McDonald House of New York provides temporary housing and additional resources to the families of children receiving vital medical care. As part of its participation, Canon Solutions America is sponsoring a 10-day stay at the Ronald McDonald House New York for a child undergoing cancer treatment and their family.
The Fifth Annual Graphic Arts Reception honored Diane Romano, president and CEO of Hudson Yards, for her outstanding leadership in the graphic arts industry. This year, the reception benefitted Ronald McDonald House New York because of Romano's generous and continuous support of that charity.
Hudson Yards is the largest single redevelopment project in New York's history.
Since its founding in 1978, the Ronald McDonald House New York has accommodated more than 35,000 families, regardless of their ability to pay.
“It's incredibly humbling to have the opportunity to support a child in need,” says Francis McMahon, senior vice president, marketing, production print solutions for Canon Solutions America. “At Canon Solutions America, one of our main objectives is to improve businesses. But beyond our standard business goals is a commitment to supporting philanthropic causes that help make a difference. This is something we're very proud of.”
