Ferndale, Washington-based Applied Cutting Solutions (ACS) announces it has been awarded the Northwest U.S. distributorship for the new Fujifilm Acuity LED 1600 II wide format UV printer.

ACS, a distributor specializing in products and services for the CNC mechanized cutting, material processing, UV wide-format printing and finishing markets, will be distributing the printer in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.

According to ACS, the Acuity LED 1600 II is designed for the print shop new to wide-format inkjet printing or for users looking to save costs by printing with the newest LED UV curing technology. It has a hybrid design, making it easy to switch between roll media and rigid media; it delivers productivity of 355 square feet/hour for fast, high-quality printing; comes with eight inks standard; has the company's trademarked VersaDrop jetting technology; and a proprietary design, long-life, low-heat LED light source that uses very little energy.

These features and more make it an ideal printer for promotional items, the company says.
