Melville, New York-based Canon Solutions America, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the sales arm of Canon U.S.A., announces that it is collaborating with Wheaton, Illinois-based Aleyant, a web-to-print software provider.
Canon Solutions America will begin offering the Aleyant Pressero cloud-based, web-to-print ecommerce solution to support its production print portfolio, which includes the Canon imagePRESS and varioPRINT digital presses. Included with Pressero is Aleyant eDocBuilder, a web-to-print variable data publishing (VDP) personalization and online design system.
According to Canon Solutions America, Aleyant's solutions leverage responsive, cloud-based delivery of web-to-print ecommerce, variable data, and print job management features and options to create a robust, scalable job submission solution at value-driven prices.
This is the first time the two companies have collaborated to offer a cloud-based online storefront solution to production print customers. The partnership is specifically targeting Canon Solutions America's commercial print and in-plant central reproduction department (CRD) customer base. Aleyant's Pressero product brings an unequaled level of features and functionality at a fraction of the price of competitive solutions, Canon Solutions America says, adding that due to Aleyant's cloud-based delivery strategy, not only is the overall cost of the solution less but additional IT costs beyond the cost of a PC with a secure internet connection are eliminated.
