Trotec Laser announces the relocation of its corporate headquarters to 44747 Helm Court in Plymouth, Michigan. The company had been operating about six miles away in Canton, Michigan.

At 25,000 square feet, the new headquarters is double the size of the old space. The facility includes larger office space to accommodate its growing staff, a much larger warehouse, a state-of-the-art applications lab, and an expanded regional service and support center for product demos, materials testing and training events.

The search for an ideal location to house its main office began more than a year ago, according to Trotec marketing manager Patricia Steding.

“We needed a larger space because we wanted to increase the amount of inventory we could house and office space, too, because our team has grown quite a bit,” Steding says. “(The need for more space) is a good problem to have.”

More room to show off its machines was badly needed, Steding says.

“One of the big reasons was to increase the applications lab,” she says. “We have many large-format machines that require a lot of space. Customers will have more opportunities to see our machines in action.”

Trotec Laser Inc. was launched in Mississippi in 2002. This is the company's third move in the past four years to accommodate business growth—moving first to Ypsilanti, Michigan, then to Canton, and now to Plymouth.

“We are thrilled about the move and the progress it symbolizes,” says Warren Knipple, president of Trotec Laser. “It signifies our growth as a company and represents new opportunities to provide our customers with top-notch products, technical support and follow-on sales support.”

The company plans to host an open house celebration on January 26, 2017, holding informal workshops and demonstrations for customers eager to see the new facility.
