In line with its declared aim to expand its market share in the European textile and apparels market, Mimaki Engineering has concluded the basic agreement on purchasing the stocks of an Italian company La MeccanicaCostruzioneTessili.

La Meccanica, a manufacturer of devices associated with digital textile printing, is located in Bergamo in Italy, the home of the European apparel market, and it has established itself as a major brand for the devices used for digital textile printing for nearly 40 years.

       Mimaki is aiming to acquire the manufacturing know-how of digital print devices, plusthe power of the Meccanicabrand power to give a boost to its existing products, and improve its competitiveness in the textile inkjet printer industry in Europe and the world.

       It is anticipated that the terms of the formal agreement for the stock purchase will be concluded by the end of March of this year.

      Terms have not been disclosed.

      The impact of this purchase on Mimaki’sconsolidated business results is negligible and there is no change in the projected performance of the MimakiGroup for the time being.
