Sign Research Foundation adds three to board of trustees

The board of trustees for the Sign Research Foundation (SRF), an organization that empowers communities through academic research on vibrant and effective sign strategies, systems, and codes, has added three more individuals to the team to help guide the organization.

Joining the SRF board of trustees are Stacey Brown, Manish Jaisinghani, and Brenda Velázquez. Brown is a visual communication and visual branding expert providing powerful solutions to help her clients build their brands and increase customer engagement. She has been the owner of Signarama Silver Spring since 2010 and, in late 2018, opened a new location, Signarama DC North.

Jaisinghani is an accomplished and multi-faceted veteran of the branding industry. In his current role, he leads design and sourcing for Principle Global, a global organization based out of the UK with offices in over 15 countries. His responsibilities include researching viable sourcing partners for a complete branding solution.

Velázquez is the CEO of Future Sign Company. As part of the board of trustees, she will collaborate and bring ideas to the table that elevate the sign industry. With 20 years of experience in the sign industry and trust from local and national partners, she is open and available to talk about what she has learned and is still learning.

“These three individuals represent some of our industry’s brightest thinkers and most passionate advocates for empowering communities,” said Sapna Budev, SRF’s executive director. “They join a diverse and enthusiastic board of trustees who will continue to develop academic research and education useful to architects, urban planners, developers, code officials, business owners, and designers.”

The SRF Board of Trustees will be led in 2022 by chair Matthew Shad, an urban planner, attorney, and economic development practitioner in the public and not-for-profit sectors. Max Fulton, senior director with Alvarez & Marshal, serves as secretary and treasurer.
