Roland DG (UK) has launched the VersaUV LEJ-640FT, the latest in its series of popular UV ink-based printers. With a sleek design and improved usability, the LEJ-640FT represents the next generation of wide format flatbed printers in the VersaUV range.
Offering the size and functionality of a flatbed, combined with the flexibility provided by ECO-UV inks, including Gloss and White options,to deliver luxury effects and textures, the LEJ-640FT is capable of printing ontoa wide variety of both standard and non-traditional flexible and rigid substrates or objects up to 150mm (6 inches) in height and 100kg in weight.
The LEJ-640FT offers a 1606mm x 2490mm (63.25” x 98”) print area, making it ideal for printing onto everything, from signage and packaging prototypes, to guitar cases and heavier substrates. With its quadruple zone vacuum technology, printing onto large quantities of smaller substrates or items, is also simple and facilitates the use of multiple workflows within one space, thus further improving productivity.
It is also ideal for use in a busy print shop, where technicians may run multiple machines in tandem and where manpower is at a premium. Since an external compressor is unnecessary, the machine has a comparatively small footprint and is accessible from all sides, whist the innovative Handy Panel included provides high levels of control without any loss of movement or workflow flexibility.
Included with the LEJ-640FT are a number of added benefits, including Roland DG’s VersaWorks RIP software, Roland OnSupport, which facilitates the remote tracking of production runswith automatic alerts being sent to a computer or smart phone if required, and a one-year Silver RolandCare warranty.
The VersaUV LEJ-640FT will be on display for the first time in the UK at Sign & Digital UK,which takes place on 19th-21st April 2016 at Birmingham’s NEC. NEC. Visit the Roland DG (UK) stand (H30) for live demonstrations and further product information.
