San Diego-based inkjet technology company Memjet announces that it has reached a global settlement with HP Inc. that includes the dismissal of all current actions between the parties and a cross-license. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
“We are pleased to have reached a settlement with HP,” says Len Lauer, CEO of Memjet, in a short statement his company released. “We will continue to stay focused on creating innovative printing technology that enables our customers to realize optimal speeds, quality and costs.”
The statement says that Memjet created a whole new category of inkjet printing when it introduced its now-trademarked printhead technology, which it calls Waterfall Printhead Technology. The company says the printhead fires millions of ink drops per second. Memjet reportedly holds some 3,500 global patents on the technology.
