Johnson Plastics and GoVivid announce their inaugural Technology Discovery Day on Wednesday, July 27, in Bloomington, Minnesota.

The event is free to the public and offers attendees the chance to discover and learn about new technologies and products from industry vendors, including Rowmark, GoVivid, Johnson Plastics, LaserBits, Direct Color Systems, Unisub, Epilog Laser, Vapor Apparel, Epson and Sawgrass.

According to Rowmark marketing  specialist Jordan Brown, attendees will enjoy networking, door prizes, and will have the chance to explore trends in sublimation, UV-LED printing and laser engraving at complimentary workshops and demonstrations lead by industry experts.

The Discovery Day agenda includes:
9-10 a.m.: Vapor Apparel: Apparel: Cut and Sew
An overview of apparel sublimation including cut-and-sew production.
10:15-11:15 a.m.: Jimmy Lamb: How to Make Money with Sublimation (presented by Sawgrass)
Learn how the sublimation process works, how to produce sublimated products, what to charge and how to market products.
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Epilog: Discover Laser Engraving Technology
This class will cover the ABC's of laser engraving and cutting and how a CO2 laser works.
1-2 p.m.: Epson: How to Sublimate Photo Panels
An overview of sublimating Chromaluxe Photo Panels and the equipment needed to create high-end art and photo masterpieces.
2:15-3:15 p.m.: LaserBits: Adding Bling to Laser Projects
Using LaserLights, laser foil, color fill and other decorative techniques to add value to laser engraving projects.
3:30-4:30 p.m.: Direct Color Systems: Add Color to Your Business with UV-LED Print Technology

With an emphasis on real-world ROI examples on applications like cylindrical/bottle printing, ADA/Braille signage, texture printing and acrylic awards, learn about the profit potential with a UV-LED printer for short and long production runs.
