Scala Inc., a Malvern, Pennsylvania-based provider of end-to-end software solutions for visual communications including digital signage, announces new leadership for its board of directors.
The board changes follow the early August announcement by Dayton, Ohio-based Stratacache, a digital signage and content distribution solutions provider, that it had acquired what it called“super majority control”of Scala, a deal that Stratacache says combines the largest U.S. digital signage company with the largest international digital signage company.
Chris Riegel, CEO of Stratacache, will take over as chairman of Scala's board of directors. Riegel founded Stratacache in 1999 and leads the company's business development and engineering operations. Stratacache is his third successful tech startup company.
The rest of the newly formed Scala board: Cameron Waldie is general manager and president of Carmanah Signs, a division of Stratacache; Gerard Bucas continues to serve on Scala's board. He was the CEO of the company from 2002 to 2011; Kevin Carbone is the CEO of PRN, another Stratacache company; and Kevin McGree is the chief financial officer of Stratacache. McGree has guided the company through multiple acquisitions, including the recent Scala deal.
