Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based MCT Digital, a manufacturer of digital, grand-format flatbed cutting systems, announces a new distribution partnership with SEGRA Mexico, which has offices in all three major regions, including Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City.
The agreement is built around MCT's new VersaTech2 flatbed cutter, which debuts this week at a Las Vegas trade show. The VersaTech is a joint development between MCT of Wisconsin Inc. and Blackman & White of the U.K. The intellectual property is owned by both companies who share engineering and software development and jointly support customers via manufacturing in both the U.S. and the U.K. The VersaTech2, however, was manufactured in the U.S. and fully tested at MCT’s Milwaukee headquarters.
SEGRA Mexico has more than 20 years experience, and it was particularly its background with large-format printers that attracted MCT, the company says.
“Because of SEGRA's extensive experience selling grand format printers, and especially with the fastest growth for digital fabric printing being in latex, SEGRA was a great match for the ‘All-in-One’ capabilities of the VersaTech2,”says Steen Mikkelsen, MCT's CEO.
The cutters are also tightly coupled with Caldera RIPs, utilizing their newest CUT output capabilities, adding to SEGRA's benefits for MCT, the company says.
