Agfa revamps its Leeds showroom

2015-10-22

Agfa Graphics has announced that its Leeds-based showroom has received a technology upgrade to feature the company’s latest printers and software, which are now available for demonstrations.

The completely refurbished showroom now includes two of the newest Anapurna inkjet printing systems. The Anapurna M2050i features hybrid flatbed technology for direct-to-substrate printing onto both rigid and flexible media, while the Anapurna M3200i is designed for industrial roll-to-roll UV printing up to 3.2 metres in width.

Both systems use the latest Konica Minolta 1024i printheadsto deliver stunning print quality and reach maximum speeds of 123 sq/m per hour. The combination of the small droplet size and the wide colour gamut of the Agfa UV inks facilitates delivery of a thin layer of ink, thus ensuringvery low ink consumption and reducing printing costs. The Anapurna M2050i also comes with a white ink option, making it the ideal solution for printing onto coloured and transparent substrates.

Steve Collins, Inkjet Marketing & Channel Manager, Agfa Graphics UK & Ireland, commented:  “The upgrade also features the addition of our workflow suite of software that includes Apogee for commercial litho customers and Asanti for the sign and display market. Visitors to our newly-redesigned showroom can also see Storefront, our web-to-print software and experience a complete demonstration from job creation through to final production on a wide range of substrates and applications, including textile printing, window graphics, backlit displays, novelty items and even a magnetic wall, providing them ith an excellent overview of what it is possible to achieve with this technology.”
