Rocky Hill, Connecticut-based Direct Color Systems, makers of small-format direct-to-substrate and direct-to-garment UV-LED inkjet printers, announces that it has received a patent for its UV LED ADA-compliant Braille sign printing process.
The company says that by its estimate, DCS's patented process for producing ADA-compliant Braille signage saves retailers between 10 and 29 steps over other production methods available today.
“The entire team here at DCS worked diligently to ultimately receive this patent. It is something that we are all very proud of,” says Blair Allen, president of Direct Color Systems. “Our goal is to manufacture printers and develop innovative applications that make our customers more profitable in multiple areas of their business. Our hope is that patents like this, along with our continued development of other patent-pending applications, show that we are committed to that goal.”
