Cansel, a national distributor serving the printing industry, has developed COBALT Graphics Distribution, a new company with a focus on the graphics communications market.
While Cansel will continue to distribute wide-format products to its architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) customers, the independently run COBALT will operate as a distributor of wide-format, flexographic, and offset products to the Canadian print communications market.
The new company was established to better serve a wide customer base. COBALT will retain the company’s employees and suppliers that are focused in the reprographics, wholesale distribution, and printing markets, and has announced plans for a new e-commerce platform.
“We are bringing a whole new focus to the world of graphic communication,” said Stephen Fletcher, COBALT’s president. “For years, Cansel has been growing our wide-format equipment, service, and support business focused on servicing our AEC customers. After several acquisitions, the time was right for us to develop a national organization focused on the world of visual and graphic print communication to service and support our rapidly growing non-traditional customer base.”
