Old Port of Montreal to receive digital kiosks

2019-09-03

Digital interactive studio iGotcha Media has partnered with the Old Port of Montreal Corporation Inc., to install digital kiosks, replacing traditional static signage.

These kiosks provide orientation and promote attractions including the Montreal Science Centre, the IMAX Telus Theatre, the Montreal Observation Wheel, Bateau-Mouche boat cruises, the Bota Bota spa, as well as restaurants and boutiques.

The double-sided kiosks have two 1905-mm (75-in.) LG monitors encased in a custom-made aluminum frame, are robust, and can withstand extreme weather conditions and direct sunlight. Equipped with WiFi antennae, Old Port staff may manage and update content using iGotcha Media’s proprietary content management software (CMS). Changes can be made easily from any location, and kiosks can be managed to display individualized or network-wide content.

“We receive around seven million visitors every year. We need to find effective ways to communicate with them,” said Old Port’s digital project manager, Pierre Ayotte. “In short, we wish to ensure all visitors to the Old Port enjoy an excellent experience.”
